The HR Excellence in Research label
HR Excellence in Research is a label of excellence, guaranteeing increased international visibility, awarded by the European Commission to research organizations and institutions committed to continuously improving their implementation of the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers.
The HR Excellence in Research approach is based on an assessment of the university's practices, followed by the development of a multi-year action plan that will lead to improved recruitment and career development for researchers, while creating a more inclusive and attractive research environment focused on the needs of researchers. The involvement of researchers from all categories in the process of developing and approving the HRS4R action plan is a central element of the process, which has been implemented at the university through a survey and contributions from a working group.
The label comprises 40 principles from the European Charter and Code of Conduct, grouped into four sections:
- Ethical and professional aspects
- Recruitment and selection - evaluating, attracting, and retaining talent; international visibility
- Working conditions and social security - promoting and creating a stimulating and supportive working environment
- Training and career development
