Our strengths

A university providing professional training

With almost 25% of students on apprenticeships, we are the leading university in France in terms of apprenticeship training. For more than fifteen years, through our various components and institutions, we have been developing apprenticeships in many courses, promoting both a pedagogical approach based on work-study programmes and the professional integration and employability of students.

With a quarter of our students in apprenticeships, we are the leading French university in this field.

With more than a hundred work-study courses, our programmesare designed to provide opportunities adapted to the socioeconomic world, whatever the discipline or field of training, including: the technological Bachelor's degree (BUT), general Bachelor's degree, professional Bachelor's degree, Master's degree, engineering degree, architect's degree, among others. The apprenticeship scheme covers all areas of training: human and social sciences, economics and management, literature, arts and languages, mathematics, computing, physics, etc.

Our apprenticeship programmes combine academic requirements with the quality of the roles entrusted by companies to the apprentice students. The quality of the work-study training system lies mainly in the suitability of the mission with the target profession of the training, on rigorous monitoring of the apprentice in the company and at the university as well as a close partnership between the teaching team and the host company in supervising the apprentice's training.

We work with a view to the rapid integration of our students into the labour market. To this end, we place special emphasis on apprenticeships and the quality of the tasks entrusted to our apprentices while ensuring a quality relationship between the apprentice and their supervisor.

Whether you are a student in initial training or a professional returning to studies, we support our students through our teaching teams and our Apprentice Training Centre partners, as well as through our Lifelong Learning and Validation of Acquired Experience department.

In terms of entrepreneurship, we support students in their projects through our Pepite programme.

Creation of the Apprenticeship Training Department (SFA): the university’s solution for the in-house management of engineering apprentices

Already the leading university in France in terms of apprenticeship-based training, Université Gustave Eiffel went a step further in maintaining this dynamic by creating its Apprenticeship Training Department (SFA), dedicated to the in-house management of the apprenticeship contracts at ESIEE Paris, starting on 21 January 2021.

« This concerned 759 student engineers » says Fabien Dangel, Director of Development at ESIEE Paris and Head of the SFA. In time, all apprenticeship contracts at the university's engineering schools (ESIEE Paris, ESIPE, EIVP and ENSG) will be managed by this shared department. « Our aim is to become the leading CFA in France in terms of the number of apprentice engineers, explains Fabien Dangel. The SFA will facilitate the introduction of apprenticeship-based training in the other engineering schools. »

« The creation of the SFA heralds an increase in apprenticeships in all our engineering schools. »
Venceslas Biri, Vice-President of Training and Educational Innovation

An Apprentice Training Centre (CFA) is run by a management body. The CFA provides apprentices with general training, combined with technological and practical training.
It complements the training they receive in the company and coordinates with the apprenticeship.
