European projects at the University related to HR Excellence in Research

CLEAR Doc

This project, which is part of the HRS4R framework, has enabled the implementation of a process for submitting thesis topics on EURAXESS and selecting international doctoral students for the university.

All doctoral students involved in the project were recruited and hired by UNI EIFFEL, ensuring open, transparent, and merit-based recruitment (OTM-R) across all campuses. This project also provided an opportunity for the university as a whole to strengthen career development aspects. The selection criteria for researchers were clearly specified. The selection process took into account the recognition of qualifications and the overall experience of the ESR, while focusing on their overall potential as researchers and their creativity, and ensuring the freedom to undertake independent research.

InCITIES

This European project has enabled us to incorporate our HRS4R approach into a collaboration between European universities and partners in the PIONEER alliance.

Deliverable D3.3 (WP3) of the InCITIES Project - A multilevel HRS4R for 5, 10 years provides an overview of the lessons learned by InCITIES partners in their process of setting up a structure and submitting applications for the HR Excellence in Research Award. TH Koeln, which coordinated Work Package 3 in the InCITIES project, received the HR Excellence in Research Award as the first German university in 2015. The four other partner institutions of the European PIONEER alliance, working together within the InCITIES project, shared their practices and lessons learned to date: each university provided an overview of its processes and approaches to the HR Excellence in Research Award.
