For audience measurement, this site uses plausible.io, a tool that is more respectful of private data :
- Open source, so that anyone can view, examine and inspect the code.
- Everything that is recorded is completely secure, encrypted and hosted on a server in the European Union to ensure that it is covered by strict data privacy laws.
- No collection of personal data or personally identifiable information.
- Individuals are not tracked. All data is aggregated only.
- No tracking of individuals across their devices. All data is isolated to a single device. There is no way of knowing if the same person visits a site from more than one device.
- No tracking of individuals across the websites and apps they visit. All data is isolated to a single website. There is no way to know what other websites a person visits.
- No use of cookies and/or persistent identifiers.
- No sharing or sending of data to advertising companies or other third parties in general. Data is not monetised, exploited or collected to obtain personal and behavioural trends.
Personal data
Gustave Eiffel University uses your personal data to carry out its training and research activities and manage its external relations. The institution undertakes to ensure that this data is processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (European Regulation 2016/679) and the amended French Data Protection Act of 6 January 1978.
In order to ensure optimal protection of the personal data collected, Gustave Eiffel University undertakes :
- to respect the principle of proportionality between the purpose of the processing and the data processed,
- to inform you about the processing concerning you,
- to take the appropriate organisational and technical measures to ensure the availability, the confidentiality and security of data,
- to supervise data transfers,
- to limit data retention while complying with legal archiving obligations,

- to enter into contracts with subcontractors to ensure that they act in accordance with European regulations.

- the right to withdraw your consent to processing at any time,
- the right to access, rectify and erase your personal data,
- the right to restrict the processing of your personal data,
- the right to object to processing and the right to data portability.
