A look back at the World Road Congress 2023 in Prague

The World Road Congress is a major international event that brings together road sector experts and professionals from all over the world to discuss challenges, innovations and best practices in the field of road infrastructure. The event took place from October 02 to 06 at the Prague Congress Centre under the theme "Together on the road again".

Organisé par l'Association Mondiale de la Route (PIARC), le congrès se tient tous les quatre ans et attire des participants issus de l'industrie, de la recherche, et d'autres secteurs liés aux transports et à la mobilité.

 

Organized by the World Road Association (PIARC), the congress is held every four years and attracts participants from industry, research and other sectors linked to transport and mobility.


At the heart of this international gathering, Gustave Eiffel University showcased its vision, missions and commitment to the challenges of the City of Tomorrow. The presentation was an opportunity to highlight the world-renowned research facilities on its seven campuses, all geared towards solving these crucial future challenges.

Among the researchers taking part in the presentation were Véronique Cérézo (Director of the Lyon Campus and researcher in the AME-EASE laboratory), Thierry Sedran (Director of the Materials for Transport Infrastructures Laboratory), Pierre Hornych (researcher in the LAMES laboratory) and Abdelmename Hedhli (researcher in the COSYS department).

These experts made an essential contribution to highlighting Gustave Eiffel University's commitment to research and innovation to shape a more sustainable and efficient future in road infrastructure and mobility.
