In a constantly changing market, it is important to continue training throughout one's career to keep developing skills.
This offers numerous benefits:
- For companies: develop collective skills, involve employees and contribute to their well-being, facilitate in-house job mobility, improve competitiveness...
- For employees: increase skills and gain autonomy, progress professionally, change position, build self-confidence...
To this end, the university designs bespoke lifelong training courses and offers VAE (Validation of Acquired Experience) and VAPP (Validation of Professional and Personal Skills) schemes for all its degrees.
Lifelong learning concerns employees, job seekers, entrepreneurs and graduates. It allows you to improve your skills and adapt to new technologies, practices or methods applied in the company. It also allows for retraining for a change in career. All Universté Gustave Eiffel’s courses are available through lifelong learning.
The Validation of Acquired Experience (VAE) is a right for all provided for by the French Decree of 2002. It allows you to obtain recognition of your professional or extra-professional experience in order to complete all or part of a degree, diploma or professional qualification.
All Université Gustave Eiffel’s courses are available through VAE, including PhDs.
The Validation of Personal and Professional Skills (VAPP) scheme allows you to access a university course without the diploma normally required thanks to your professional or personal experience. For example, your professional or personal experience may enable you to enrol on a course normally only accessible after four years of higher education (BAC+4).
