Research components

The activities of the 1,200 researchers and teacher-researchers at the Gustave Eiffel University are centred on research units and departments. These units originated in the founding institutions. They were evaluated in 2018 and 2019 by the High Council for the Evaluation of Research and Higher Education (Hcéres) and are not expected to be re-shaped. Together, they account for a quarter of French research on the cities of tomorrow.
